Beneficial Insects

 We at The Plant Kingdom do not use any pesticides or chemicals. We use 100% beneficial insects. We get shipments of them weekly during the greenhouse season.   

Beneficial insects are a natural, organic, environmentally sustainable way to control pest.  They fall into three main categories. 

Pollinators: These insects help pollinate your garden flowers. (Butterflies, bees, moths, and flies) 

Predators: These insects eliminate pest by eating them. ( Ladybugs, spiders, green lacewing larvae, and praying mantis.)

Parasitizers: These insects, like predators also prey upon other insects, but in a different way. They lay their eggs on or in the "bad bugs".  When the eggs hatch, the larvae feed on the host.
